I have lots of pads and gloves but if you decide to come regularly you will probably want to buy your own..... gloves mould to your hands and you get used to a certain way of hitting the pads. . These are designed to protect your wrists and knuckles.... for your first class you are more than welcome to try without wearing wraps, if you intend to keep using my gloves I ask that your purchase your own set of wraps either from me or online just because it protects my gloves from all your lovely hand sweat! :)
Is Boxercise for me?
As long as you don't mind punching your friends! Not in the face though (unless your partner has hideous aim!), we use pads and gloves to get our punch on!
I've been boxing for a few years now and I LOVE it! It's a great way to reduce stress, to get fitter and it's so much fun to learn a new skill.
We work on technique and speed as well as including bodyweight fitness moves. Boxercise is great for all over toning and fat burning although it concentrates more on your upper body and torso than it does on your legs (almost the opposite to Zumba!). If you are looking to get ring-ready this is NOT the class for you, if you want to keep fit, sweat, learn some cool boxing combinations and get to punch stuff then come and join us!
